Psychotherapy Clinic

The clinic at AGIP provides psychoanalytic psychotherapy. There are also many AGIP trained therapists working outside London to whom the clinic makes referrals. To see the list of towns in which AGIP therapists work, click here.

If you are considering psychoanalytic psychotherapy you will need to arrange for an assessment. This is an opportunity for you to discuss any issues you may wish to bring to psychotherapy and to decide with the assessor whether psychoanalytic psychotherapy is appropriate for you. The assessment will usually take place within 10 days of your contacting us, and it lasts for about one hour. The fee is £55. Referral to an AGIP therapist takes between one and three weeks. Assessments normally take place at the clinic in London but for patients not living in London, you will be put in touch with an AGIP therapist living nearby.

AGIP therapists

AGIP can provide therapists who:

  • are able to work in languages other than English
  • will work with women who need to bring their new-born babies to sessions
  • work from a range of different psychoanalytic orientations
  • come from different cultural backgrounds
  • who have different sexual orientations

For an assessment you can choose to either contact the Clinic in London or check our listing here

Fairbridge Clinic

AGIP also has a clinic offering low fee therapy called the Fairbridge Clinic. If you are a student or in receipt of state benefits AGIP can refer you to the Fairbridge Clinic which offers twice a week psychotherapy for a fee ranging from £8 to £18 per session. You will need to commit yourself to a minimum of two years psychotherapy.

If you wish to be referred to the Fairbridge Clinic for low fee therapy you should mention this when contacting AGIP and ask for an assessment for the Fairbridge Clinic. The fee for the assessment will be £35.
